Win7 and Vista Wont Boot After Partition Reisize
After a partition resize/move, W7 and Vista no longer boot when selected via OSS Menu. XP works fine.
WIndows 7 gives an error message (0xC0000225) and says to repair my installation. I de-act OSS, repair W7. Test boot - OK. Re-act OSS - W7 no boot.
I have to play with the BOOTWIZ.OSS file before, but I looked at it and don't see any problems (e.g. active partitions that are hidden).
Attached my BOOTWIZ.OSS file.
XP partition is #2 (4267...)
W7 partition is #1 (2517...)
Vista partition is #4 (1527...)

Yes, I am using DD 10.
I see the system_root_identifier section in the BOOTWIZ.OSS file. When you say remove it, do you mean delete the field that starts with system_root_identifier="......" only?
When Windows 7 was repaired using the Windows 7 installation DVD, the Windows 7 partition was set active and the other OS c-drives (XP & Vista) were hidden in Windows 7.

Update: I tried deleting the section from the .OSS file and then attempted to boot into W7. Same error as I got before. Attached is a screenshot of the WIndows 7 error I am seeing.

You may need to fix the BCD files for Vista and Windows 7. A boot repair could do this. For example, deactivate OSS (don't uninstall), use DD to set the correct partition Active and hide the others, boot to the Windows DVD, run the Startup Repair (may take more than one time), once Windows is booting you can fix the other one and then reactivate OSS.
