Backup File Names
I'm using True Image Home 2011 build 6597 and I'm having problems with my backup file names. Instead of using the task name as the file name, my backup created a my_disks.tib instead of using my task name as the backup file name. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Go to [your backup name] on the back up list, click on "operations > Edit Backup settings"
Now follow this in the same order or some changes might get lost:
- Click on Destination,
- Pull down the slider on the right to see "browse..." below all the proposed destinations
- On the left panel, navigate until you have double-clicked on the folder/disk where you want to store your backups
- Then enter the file name you want for your back up files,
- Click OK to close the destination selection,
- Adjust the *task* name if you want at that point (this will not change the file name)
- Click save.
That should do it.
I tried this for my external hard drive name and my last backup named the file my_disks(1).tib. I also backup to an internal drive and it keeps the task name as the file name backup.

Suggest you create a new task and use the instructions listed by Pat. Try to avoid any edits of the task. Create it correctly the very first time.
