Acronis Backup 12.5 - Script to automatically map network drive in Linux PXE Boot Media possible?

Thread needs solution

Hello @all,

is it possible to add a script to the Linux PXE boot media, to automatically map a network drive with user and password. So we can boot up the GUI without the requirement to enter the network path, username/password and can directly choose the machine we want to backup or restore and from which date.

Second question. Is it possible to use one boot media with the automatic backup & recovery scripts for more machines? We are using one network share and create one folder for each machine, that should be backed up.

Thanks in advance and greetings
Andreas

Hello Andreas,

thank you for posting on Acronis forums!

There is a Backup to and recovery from a network share script available for bootable media. I recommend that you read the details in the respective chapter in the documentation about available predefined and custom scripts in bootable media.

The same Linux-based bootable media could be used on other machines.
