Progress Bar Disappears
Date: 10/10/2019 Software: Acronis True Image 2016 Build: 6595 We have encountered an unusual problem where the progress bar disappears after just a few seconds of recovering a TIB image to a disk. After further inspection, it also seems that we cannot access the partitions under that disk for up to 30 seconds after this problem has occurred because Windows says they are locked. To fix this, we have tried to delete all the partitions and create one empty partition on the disk that we want to load the TIB to, but the same problem persists. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Select the image to load under the “Backup” tab (the first tab) 2. Select “Recover Disks” in the bottom-left corner of the right-hand side GUI 3. Select the saved disk under the backup image 4. Select the target disk in the drop-down menu under “Recover To” 5. A menu will appear labeled “Target disk conversion” with the following description: Disk “DISK_NAME” will be converted. 6. Select the first option: The selected disk will be restored as is (disk’s layout will remain MBR). 7. Select “Recover Now” 8. A menu will appear labeled “True Image” with text that says “The selected destination hard disk drive is not empty. If you continue, all data the disk contains will be delete. Are you sure you want to continue?” 9. Select “Yes” A progress bar will appear, but will then disappear after a few seconds.
