TI 2010 NON-STOP 2 Problems

Thread needs solution

Hi there!

I have upgraded TI 2009 to TI 2010 on my Vista Home Premium (32 bit).

Problem 1:

Once I have defined and enabled a NON-STOP backup for my system partition it is not possible any more to disable it. Within the window where it should be possible to stop/start already defined backups there are the following controls: at the top there is a button to stop protection, at the botom right there are the standard "OK" and "Cancel" buttons. When this window is opened (currently NON-STOP for C: partition is running) both OK and Cancel are enabled. I select the C: partition and click on the "stop protection" button and immediately the "OK" button gets disabled. Only option is to Cancel => unuseable!

Problem 2:

After booting from the Rescue-Media and selecting "Manage Backups" TI 2010 either does not find the NON-STOP backup image files or (sometimes it finds the files) when clicking on them the display of the NON-STOP backup image disappears => unuseable!

There is at least one more problem but there already exists a thread for it: TI 2010 deletes files from Favorites Folder???

So I had to restore an image with a state before upgrading to TI 2010 and now I am back to TI 2009 which still works fine. This NON-STOP feature was the reason for buying the upgrade but this problems make it unuseable.

Johannes

Johannes, what build of TI do you have?

Not being possible to disable NSB was a problem in one of the beta versions.   As you've uninstalled 2010 there isn't much point in my asking you if the

Acronis Non Stop Backup service is running on automatic in services.msc or if adcf process is running.

I have exactly the same problems and I'm using build 5055

Hi Colin,

thank you for answering.

I use TI build 5055, is there a newer build version?

After going back with my system I again installed TI 2010 but I do not enable Non-Stop Backup because when it runs, it deletes randomly Links from the Favorites folder (see other thread).

But I also installed TI 2010 on another system partition (only testing) which runs with Windows 7 RC. The problems are exactly the same as if running under Vista. On this system I checked and found "Acronis Non Stop Backup" service has automatic start type and is running (afcdpsrv.exe). I could not find a process named "adcf"?

Johannes

Doesn't exactly inspire confidence to have a backup solution randomly delete things. I have turned off non-stop backup as well, and so far no reoccurance of the deleted favorites issue.

I have exactly the same problems regarding the issue that TI 2010 deletes files (while NON-STOP backup is running) from the Favorites Folder. I'm using Windows Vista and True Image Home 2010 build 5055

Would it possible that somebody from Acronis comment the issue and let us know by when we can expect that this issue will be fixed ? Thx in advance.....
