Exclude files based on name wildcard
I have a reserve backup on a weekly schedule to a portable drive and I only want to include full backup files, excluding any incremental backup files.
Example, I want to exclude files such as 'DATA_inc_b72_s2_v1'.
I tried adding *_inc_* to the exclusion list, but that doesn't work. Suggestions?
BTW, with regards to the built-in reserve copy feature...my problem with it is it creates a normal/full backup on every backup, plus I schedule this reserve backup only 1/week.

Ditto to Steve's comments. To clarify, any backup you take in Acronis (i.e. if it is an incremental this time) in the old format with reserve turned on, will still create a full as the reserve each time a back is run.
i.e.
full = reserve full too
inc = reserve full too
inc = reserve full too
inc = reserve full too
full = reserve full too

Backup reserve copy is an independent full backup version created immediately after a normal backup. Even when you create an incremental or differential backup version containing only data changes, the reserve copy will contain all the data selected for the normal backup. You can save reserve copies of your backups on the file system, a network drive, or a USB flash drive.
Probably not ideal if you only want a reserve of the full. And since it takes time to create the reserve anyway, I would suggest using 2 backup tasks. Your primary backup task to your main destination disk on your preferred schedule using your incremental scheme. And a the second backup task creating only fulls to the other backup destination, on a different schedule of your choosing. It's going to take the same amount of time to create each of those secondary full backups, but this will give you more control over when and where they take place, so they don't kick off a full every single time you do a regular backup.

Steve Smith wrote:Scott, all ATI .tib & .tibx (2020) are excluded from all backups by default, and the option for making a Reserve backup copy is no longer offered for ATI 2020 new .tibx backups.
For older versions, the reserve backup was always a full backup image every time with no options to create reserve incremental or differential copies.
I had removed the tib references in the Exclusion list. Now I just want to backup the full tib files, excluding the inclusive tib files.
I had already discounted the reserve copy function.

Thanks; that would be my next option. I wish ATI had a sync deletions option. I already use Allway Sync for a couple other backup jobs.

Scott, the exclusions list only applies to ATI Backups that will then create a new .tib or .tibx backup file, so I do not see the point in making a backup of backup .tib(x) files??
If all you want to do is to make copies of your Full backup files to another drive, then don't do this by making a backup of them.
Turn off Acronis Active Protection (if enabled) then copy only the *_full_*.tib* files to your drive using a simple batch command (which could be used in the Post Command option for your task).
