ATI 2010 Home Incompatible with DD 11?

Thread needs solution

Installed DD11 on Win7 (32-bit) machine recently. Now True Image Home 2010 does NOT work any more.

Keep getting errors when I attempt to launch the program. 2 of them are attached as screenshot.

Hello Lester and MudCrab!

Thank you for your comments, and for reporting about the issue.

We are aware of the problem, it's caused by the low-level drivers conflict. Installation of Acronis Disk Director 11.0 Home over Acronis True Image Home 2010 sometimes does not correctly update SnapAPI drivers responsible that are responsible for disk access.

This can be easily solved by updating the drivers. Please find the step by step instructions and the links in this KB article.

Should you need anything else or have any further questions - feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience, we will be happy to help you!

Thank you!

Update: Problem resolved.

Here is some info may of help to others experiencing this problem.

When I went to install DD11 for the 2nd time, in preparation for installing the SnapAPI update provided by Acronis TS, I chose a different option that I did the first time. At some point in the DD11 installation process, the installer says that files that need to be updated are in use by "TrueImageMonitor" and it gives 2 choices - continue the DD11 installation after a reboot (which is what I did the first time I installed DD11) or you can Retry (after I manually terminated the TrueImageMonitor.exe program using Task Manager - which is what I did this time). After I clicked Retry, the DD11 installer finished with no other messages or issues.

I rebooted (just be safe) and tried DD11 - works fine. I then tried TI Home 2010 - ALSO WORKED FINE. This is without installing the SnapAPI drivers update.

One additional note:
I noticed that the version of SnapAPI (as indicated by the registry) was 573 and the version Acronis TS provided in the download was 545 (or at least that # was in the file name). Don't know if that will make any difference, since I did not have to install the SnapAPI driver update.

Anyway, thank you MudCrab and Yana!
