Hello Steve, the destination is a external usb drive. Drive letter do not change. Reselection of destination in the backup task do not solve the problem. All setting are stiil shown correctly. Delete the task and recreate it idem.

Jean-Noel, are you saying that you have deleted the problem backup task then created it again and you still have the same problem?
Have you checked that you have sufficient free space on the external USB drive?
When did this backup last run correctly / successfully?

Hello Steve,
yes for the first question
yes free space is about 1.64 To
last backup two weeks ago

Jean-Noel, can you create an Acronis System Report zip file on this computer and attach it via the File upload option (if it is less than 8MB size)?

Hello Steve here is the report. Report have size 28 956 Ko

I send you a mp with a link to my system report.

Jean-Noel, thank you for the system report zip file.
What I am seeing in the log data is that the backup is having a problem when writing data to your Seagate Backup drive K:
The backup file is opened first in read-only mode to check it exists, then closed & opened again in append mode but an error is thrown after around 5 minutes when trying to write data to the drive for the backup .tibx file.
The ti_demon log doesn't tell the whole story here and is a little misleading when saying there was a problem reading slices!

03/11/2019 20:07:46 :310 Error 0xb042f: La destination n'est pas disponible.
03/11/2019 20:07:46 :385 Error 0x13c0005: Opération réalisée avec des erreurs
The backup_worker log for the same task tells a different story!

So, in addition to not being able to write data to the backup file on the K: drive, ATI is also unable to close the archive file again due to an i/o error.
Please check your Power Settings related to how your Seagate Backup drive connects, i.e. is USB Selective Suspend enabled? Is Windows allowed to turn off the hard disk after a set period?

Your errors may relate to a bad data cable. If you can try a different one.

You are all wrong.
I already switch off all energy saving and problem is unsolv
I already very the disk and no error on the drive
ATS 2020 is the only one software that have problem with this drive
It is not the first time that ats is not capable to do a backup.
Find other thing.

Jean-Noel, we are all making educated guesses about this issue based on the information available. It isn't a common problem as far as I am aware, therefore this suggests it is related to something in your specific environment.
I would recommend that you open a Support Case direct with Acronis to let their engineers review the Acronis System Report information to see what they find.
Do you have any other backup drives that you could test backing up to? Or another computer to test backing up with ATI 2020 to the same Seagate drive?
The only Seagate drives that I use are in other computers or else are used in a small drive enclosure as USB 3.0 external backup devices.
See Inateck 2.5 Hard Drive Enclosure, USB 3.0 External Hard Drive Case, SA01002 and Seagate 2 TB BarraCuda 2.5 Inch Internal Hard Drive (5400 RPM, 128 MB Cache, SATA 6Gb/s, Up to 140 MB/s, Model: ST2000LMZ15/LM015) that I use for some backups and are working fine with ATI 2020.

I made a backup with an other sofware and no problem. So the problem is the last version of ATS 2020.
Ticket send to acronis support.

Hello I buy a new usb hard drive and on the new drive backup is ok. Old drive is now for windows history file. I think that the new file format use for backup is incompatible with some usb hard drive firmware.

Jean-Noel, if you still have your support ticket open with Acronis, please let them know of the latest updates as ATI should give better failure messages than it currently does, plus there should not be any issue with any backup drive provided it is using a supported file system!
I have a collection of various different backup drives with ages that range from a few months old to well over 10 - 15 years old and all still work fine. Most are probably WD types but have plenty of Seagate drives in my computers and external enclosures (for self-build).
