Hello,

is it possible to see or extrakt the changes in the *.tib files, than the firstbackup doesnt exist?

i so damn ... Stupid, i deleted my first back, but i have 210 inkrementel backups left [i backup every day since april 2010 with ATIH 2010]. I lost everything or can i recover something?

[easy recover and other undelete tools doesnt helped]

ahhh.

I hope someone can give me a hint. Thanks

I hope I'm wrong and somebody can help but I think you have lost it. Without the information in the First (full) backup there is nothing to reference the incrementals. Have you tried Mounting or Exploring one of the incrementals - I don't think it will work but try anyway.

Unfortunately, you have uncovered the problem of having only 1 backup - lose it and you have nothing.

The other weakness is your scheme of running a chain of over 200 incrementals. If any one of the incrementals in the chain goes bad then it and all of the incrementals after it are useless. This is your situation except you had the bad luck of losing the very first backup.

While it is a matter of preference, I would do a Full once a week and then an incremental each day for the rest of the week. Then do another Full with 6 incrementals. The number of incrementals is only a suggestion but don't make the number too large. This would give you more than one backup after a week and your incremental chain would be a lot smaller. Do not throw away old backups until you need the storage space. It can be very handy to be able to go back should there be a problem with the latest backup.

I hope somebody can give you more help with your recovery.

Your only chance is if you can recover the deleted Full image file. There isn't any way to extract anything without it. I would try several recovery programs and see if they can find anything (some do better than others). Just note that recovering a deleted TIB intact can be very difficult or impossible. This is especially true if anything was written to the drive after the file was deleted.
