Acronis Disk Director 2011 Will Not Start Administrator Provileges Error
I just installed the new update to Acronis Disk Director 2011 and it no longer runs at all. I get the following sequence of errors:
Cannot connect to 'localhost'
Code: 11,337,731(0XAD003)
Message: Error: Failed to start the application. Administrator privileges are required.
Code: 196,610(0X3002)
Message:
Code: 65,520(0XFFF0)
Message: The system could not find the file specified.
A review of the Acronis knowledge base revealed some articles close to this but I have not been able to get 2011 to run since I made the update. I do have administrator privileges on the PC where I am running Acronis Dick Director 2011.
Any ideas?

I had tried that before and it did not work but I tried it again just to see and it works! I have no idea why it suddenly worked but thanks for the suggestion.

I can not install Acronis Disk Director for Advance Server. My server running Windows server 2003 R2 Enterprise version. SQL server 2008 also running in that server. I want to change my disk partition. My 'C' drive is only 12 gb and D drive is 400gb. 'C' drive is full. I am getting error message when installing custom installation, then Agent for windows but after providing the Serial no. It is showing wrong serial no, but when I am insttaling Typical then sr no is o.k but it showing error.
Pls help me.

Debneth,
Is the installation error message due to your c:\ partititon being too full? What is the error message?
Have you had any previous version or build of DD on the machine?
Where is it showing the 'wrong' serial number?

David: Re: the Administrator Privileges error, have you right-clicked the DD2011 icon and selected "Run As Administrator"?
This is an issue with the Windows Command Prompt sometimes so it might be affecting DD2011 as well. Once the program fails on the Administrator error, that might be provoking the other errors which might disappear if DD2011 knows it is being run in Administrative mode.
Just a thought. Have a great day.
