Taille du fichier unified_data.ds.0

Thread needs solution

Acronis Backup 12.5 14330 Merci Cordialement, Nicolas BAGGIO

Hello Christophe,

welcome to Acronis forums!

How often do you run the compacting task? How your retention rules are set?

To be honest, migrating to the next version will not change the situation significantly. The in-built deduplication in Version 12 backup format compresses backups in a different way and slightly less than deduplication on Storage Nodes.

Hi,

We don't run the compacting task, i guess it's automatic ?

The retention rules is 15 days / 53 weeks

I know maybe we lose some space if we migrate in v12 but i just want to know if it's safe to have just 1 file of 85To with all in ? (in v12 it's 1 file per server)

Regards,

Nicolas BAGGIO

Hello Christophe.

We have not done tests with such large files for Acronis Backup 11.7, thus, I can't provide you with any guaranteed answer.

However, you are right that with Version 12 backup format you will have a single backup file per server.
