System Backup and MyBackup

Thread needs solution

Hi ... Whats the difference between these 2 in the new version ? Also I remember when ever I did a restore Backup , I had to always select the C drive MBR . With this new version this option is no longer needed ?

Thanks

System Backup, will image only the drive that contains your operating system, normally the C:\ drive.

MyBackup is what ever drives and partitions you decide to image.

If you are restoring a partition other than that containing the boot files, then you won't require the MBR unless it has been damaged.

If you restore a complete disk image the MBR is automatically included.

Hey bud ... Thanks for responding ... I'm not sure if thats the case with version 2010 ... When I click the "Mybackup " It does the samething as the " System Backup " ... I don't see any option to select what I would like to backup with the Mybackup option , it just starts to load and then starts backing up my system . I try both options and now I have 2 backup files stored on my system . I never selected any drives / files / folders when I try out the Mybackup option , it just started backing up I believe my c drive ... I should mention too when I start the program I'm looking at under the title " Recent backups area . When I view there it says " Mybackup " and under that " System Backup "

I like how quicker this version loads .

Paul,

Could you post exactly what you are clicking on?  I've attached two screenshots of what happens if I click on My Disks from the Home tab of 2010

I have that options that you highlighted as well but I'm talking about towards the Recent Backups area ... How do you add attachments on this forum ?

Thanks
