Post-command puts up unminimized command window

Thread solved

I'm using Acronis TI 2020. I need it to run invisibly, in the background, when backing up ... which it normally does.

However, I now wish to use a Post-command, and it not surprisingly runs a command shell to do this. But it runs the command window without minimising it - is there any way I can get it to run minimised? The last thing I or my wife want is to be working and then find a command window suddenly intruding into what we are doing.

The command window persists until the command finishes, and given the command takes a while to complete, it is very intrusive. The issue is nothing to do with the command I am running (Allway Sync), because it does the same no matter what command I run, including a trivial DOS command like xcopy.

The issue seems to be that Acronis True Image runs the command shell without minimizing it. Is there any way to get the command window to run minimised please?

Thanks

I have just found the solution to my own question here. I put the command into a batch file, and then created a shortcut to that batch file. Configured the shortcut to run minimised. This works.

Barry, I am not aware of any method of making Acronis launch a command window for a Pre or Post Command hidden or minimised and I see the same on my own computer.

I can only suggest raising a question direct with Acronis Support via a support ticket to see if they can offer a way to do so?

I think we probably cross-posted. My 2nd post described a workaround I found. Many thanks.

Barry, thanks for sharing the workaround for this issue!
