How to create SPANNED disks?

Thread needs solution

Hi. I've bought a new 3TB disk.
I've got Acronis Disk Director 12.5
I'd like to add the new disk to the old one creating a larger space volume.
When I try to create a spanned volume, all disks but the new one are grayed out.
What am I doing wrong?
I've converted both disks (the old and the new one) to dynamic disks - still can't combine both of them to a spanned one.

Please help.

Hello Martinezz123 123,

check out https://www.acronis.com/en-eu/articles/partition-management/ the part Resize a partition/volume which explains with the screenshots how to create a spanned volume. When you resize the volume, there should be the option Convert the volume to simple/spanned to use unallocated space from all dynamic disks on the machine.

To create a spanned volume, operate the following steps:
Open Disk Management.
Right-click the unallocated area on one of the Dynamic disks where you favor to create the spanned extent and then click on New Volume.
Using the New Volume Wizard, click on Next, click on Spanned, and then observe the guidelines on your screen.
