Full back up every week and unsuccessful backup on another scheduled event.
I upgraded to 2011 because Win 7 said it wasn't compatible with TI 2009. I have been having problems with 2011 ever since I installed it two months ago. I have two problems. I am running the latest version of TI Home 2011.
My two primary backups are all incremental using the default settings of Acronis.
Problem 1:
Acronis appends a number incremented for each backup, i.e., filename2, filename3, etc. That makes sense since their incremental, however where (8) should be it becomes (1) and does a full backup again, then the next incremental backup is (1)2, then (1)3, etc. Now I have the first full back up and apprently every week I'll get another full back up. Even with a drobo full of disks that's going to run me out of disk space pretty soon. What setting do I need to change to fix this?
Problem 2:
For my other primary scheduled task when I try to back up a folder that's about 450GB it might or might now work the first time, then it always fails at 4% the second time. It just hangs. One time TI 2011 created a totally new back up job with the same name as the one I created, excepted the software generated name has _ between each word of my file name. Bottom line, I can't backup this folder at all. Despite deleting it and starting over at least a dozen times.
Is there any help for this or do I need to search for another backup program that actually works reliably?

As for your problems, on item #1, look at this link below and see if you can make it applicable. This illustrations shows some of the choices you can make and seems to work. Take special note of the very top of the illustration as to how to save your task.

This illustrates differential but the incremental option is similar.
You might want to consider repairing your installation of TrueImage. You can do this by starting the install program again from the downnload and choose install. You will then be offered a repair option which may help you.
I would also check the disk for both disk and file errors. You may have some problem files inside the problem folder. It may also be worthwhile to check the target disk for errors as well. Error checking takes time and you will probably want to do it overnight.
