boot usb stuck at command window

Thread needs solution

Hello my boot usbs work on all my computer except one. It gets stuck at the command window. No idea why this is happening. I tried resetting the bios. I tried creating new usb boot drives (3). Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Joris, welcome to these public User Forums.

If your Acronis boot USB sticks work correctly on other computer systems then there should be nothing wrong with those sticks.

What version of Acronis True Image do you have?  Is it ATI 2020 as per this forum?

What type of Acronis Rescue Media have you created on the USB sticks?

For the rescue media, there are 3 different versions available:
Simple:  created based on your Windows Recovery Environment for WinPE media.
Advanced: created based on Windows ADK (or AIK for earlier OS versions) - WinPE media.
Advanced: created based on a small Linux distro OS (BusyBox).

If you create rescue media from the ISO image provided in your Acronis Account downloads pages, then this is also Linux based media.

Finally, how do your computer boot into Windows?  Are they all the same or is the problem one different?

The Windows boot options are either Legacy / MBR for older systems, or else UEFI / GPT for newer computers.

Joris,

Are you saying that the command prompt window appears when booting to the recovery media but True Image never starts?  If yes, how long did you wait?  In some cases the wait time can be in excess of 5 minutes or longer.
