Source list and backup settings lost on Mac

Thread needs solution

Hi,

Twice now I've had a very serious issue with my TI 2020 on MacOS 10.14.

I have two backup sets of data from my internal ssd of my laptop. One goes to a local nas and that one has had a couple of serious issues as well. The second one goes to acronis cloud and that's the one I'm more concerned about at the moment.

The first time this problem happened was on the 2nd of januari. I routinely checked on Acronis and found out that the backup had not run since the 25th of november. The interface said "Source unavailable" and "No schedule" so all backup settings as well as the source list has just gone.
I added all the source folders again and set a new schedule, switching from non-stop to daily: every hour.

That one has worked alright up until 12th of januari at 14:00. After that is hasn't run at all according to the activity log.
I did however pack up my laptop that night and went on a trip that night so the backup shouldn't run because I have restricted the wifi networks it is allowed to use. The first backup set, the one going to nas, did however run fine until 21:00 on the 12th so acronis was alive for another seven hours without trying to run the cloud set at all.

Anyone heard of this problem before?

Cheers

Jonatan, welcome to these public User Forums.

Please note I am a Windows only user, not Mac.

There was some problems back in October 2019 that caused the loss of backup settings and for these to be reset after being corrected, but these problems were resolved in November when Acronis corrected the issue on their Online Dashboard servers.

Please see forum topic:  True Image 2020 -Backup option settings loss - with hundreds of users reporting issues across ATI 2017 to 2020 versions.

I can only recommend correcting your backup task settings then keep a close eye to ensure that they remain correct.  If you continue to see any problems, then please open a support case direct with Acronis to get them to investigate this further with you.
