Message I00100I000 The last volume tracker checkpoint created for volume 'F:' belongs to a different backup plan

Thread solved

Can I please ask what the following message found in the ATI 2020 Log means; and what are its implication (among other on the reliability of the Backup and on the performance of the backup):

02.02.2020 15:26:00: 00 11756 I00100000: The last volume tracker checkpoint created for volume 'F:' belongs to a different backup plan

What are volume tracker checkpoints?

The above english text is my own approximative translation of the following german text in the german message
02.02.2020 15:26:00: 00 11756 I00100000: Der zuletzt erstellte Volume Tracker-Prüfpunkt für das Volume 'F:' gehört zu einem anderen Backup-Plan.

-----------------------------
Can I please also ask another (perhaps related) question : Can i have two different Incremental Volume Backups defined for the same Volume? For example: one Backup used for my regular weekly Sunday Backups of a Volume that I need to rely on; and another Bayckup used for testing?

If for example on Monday and on the following Wednesday I use the second Backup defiintion for some tests, will that impact the reliability or the performance of my sunday weekly Backups?

And finally another question: Can I find somewhere good explations for most messages that are written to the ATI log?

Thanks a lot in advance

Robert,

Can I please ask what the following message found in the ATI 2020 Log means; and what are its implication (among other on the reliability of the Backup and on the performance of the backup):

What are volume tracker checkpoints?

These messages are purely informational and should not affect the reliability or performance of your Backup task.  Acronis uses a changed block tracking system to try to improve the performance of backup tasks for a set of source data, but it is possible that this data is different for situations where there are multiple different backup tasks for that source data, and therefore ATI does not use the CBT data.

See KB 62215: Acronis True Image: "Volume Tracker has failed to find changes on volume..." message in logs

Yes.  I do this myself with backups of the same source volumes going to different destinations on my second HDD, NAS and the Acronis Cloud.  There should be no performance impact of doing this.

I can only suggest looking in the Acronis Knowledgebase repository or else searching within the forums.  You can search in Google using site:forum.acronis.com to limit results to only the forums.
