Where is ATI on bootable rescue media?

Thread solved

Looking at the contents of my bootable rescue media, I don't see any files that could conceivably be identified as a stand-alone version of Acronis True Image. This leads me to wonder whether the rescue creation tool actually placed a copy of ATI on that flash drive. Can anyone enlighten me on this?

The bootable recovery Media is either a Linux or Windows RE, and Acronis is merely an Application that runs within that operating system. At least in the Windows version you cannot easily find the files for the Acronis App (I just tried).

Robert, as Ian has mentioned above, the rescue media uses either a small Linux kernel OS or else uses Windows PE from which it launches the standalone ATI application.

You can only really see the contents of the rescue media after you have booted from it, and then for the Linux media, would need to simulate doing a Files & Folders backup to see the actual files etc.  For the WinPE contents, it is possible to use tools such as DISM to open the contents of the .wim file where both the OS files and application are stored.
