Bluetooth weird problem

Thread needs solution

I have a weird Bluetooth problem.  It started when my Dell All-in-One crashed.  This computer is loaded Windows 10 Pro and with had a built-in Bluetooth. I have an (Acronis) image backup of the computer with a hardware options (Universal restore).  I restored the image into a different hardware, a Dell Precision 3610 workstation.  I restoration went very well.  Except the Dell Precision computer did not have Bluetooth.  So I bought a Bluetooth PCI card and installed it (Ubit Gigabit AC 1730Mbps Bluetooth 5.0 Wireless WiFi Card).  I have 2 Bluetooth devices listed in the “Bluetooth & other devices” which was carried over from the crashed computer.

When I connect these devices, I got an error message “That didn’t work. Make sure your Bluetooth device is still discoverable, then try again.”  I tried removing the devices. I got another error message “Remove Failed”.

I went to the “Device Manager” and “View/Show Hidden Devices” and deleted all the Kinivo and KTV-K098.  I rebooted the computer, but the Kinivo and KTV-K098 still shows up in the settings and the problem still exists.

Next I went to Regedit and deleted all items that has Kinivo and KTV-K098 on it, to make sure those items are not in the Registry database. Again I rebooted the computer.  The same problem persist. My Bluetooth devices will not go away.

I took another Bluetooth device and paired it and it worked just fine. It’s just the devices that were listed in the All-One-Computer that crashed. I think I have done everything to get rid of the Bluetooth devices   Anyone has any idea on to get rid of the Bluetooth devices?

Angel, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry but this is not really related to using Acronis software which looks to have been successful in migrating your installed Windows OS from your old Dell AIO to a different computer.

The only suggestion I can offer would be to try doing an in-place upgrade of Windows 10, i.e. as happens when Windows upgrades itself from build 1903 to 1909, which should only bring over the valid devices for your computer, leaving the unwanted devices behind.
