ADD11 OS Selector - Is there a problem with RAID?
I use Intel RAID 0. RAID writes some information at the beginning of the disk. Is there a problem if I install the OS Selector in the sense that it might overwrite this information?
At the moment I have the standard boot menu of Windows active - this did not create a problem. But would like to be on the safe side with 3 TB on those disks.

Thanks for your response. I was worried that it overwrites the RAID-info. But now I might try it.
I have the 3 TB RAID mirrored to 3 TB not RAID. But it takes a while to rebuild and check the results - would like to avoid this ;-)
If I understood it correctly from other postings here in this forum - after every defragmentation of the system disks I need to rebuild the OS Selector information with the boot CD. And I can get rid of the OS Selector by recreating the Windows boot menu/MBR with the Windows install disk. Is it (still) like this with ADD 11?

Reactivating OSS or restoring the MBR using the Windows DVD is still the same. Placing the OSS installation on a non-OS partition or some other partition that sees little activity can help with the defrag problem. A custom install is required for this.
It's recommended to also uninstall or deactivate OSS if you're not using it. OSS may reactivate itself otherwise (if installed in Windows).

Thank you for your information.
Perhaps I create a mini partition just for the OSS to avoid this defrag problem. Will give the OSS a try when I have enough time to repair my system afterwards - just in case ;-)
