Where are the backup files?
I back up a few partitions on some HDD and SSD. All are finished with a success message. I see them ALL using explorer or Total Commander, but I cannot find them by ATI.
I presumed that clicking BACKUP and This Computer I will see all the backups, but somehow I see only part of them. When I repeat the lacking backups - again I see previous and new backup versions but only using the external file manager the ATI sees only part of them. What's going on? How I can see all of them?

Unfortunately, it doesn't help.
Look pls at the attached files.
In Image1 you see the backup files seen by means of the Total Commander. In the internal F: you see the full and incremental backups of partitions C and D. In the external disk G: you see the full and incremental backups of (part of) partition E: as well as the folders CD and F.
In Image2 and 3 you can see the backups inside these folders.
Now, look at what one can see in Acronis (Image4): ONLY the backup in G: and only part of these backups, since when I click E: (Image5) I can see only the message (unfortunately in Polish): "Lack of data to recover".
So I cannot recover nether what is written on the disk F nor part of the backups written on the disk G:
I tried this many times. Usually, in Acronis I can see only the most recent backup.
Do you understand the situation?
Eryk, this is a known issue that can be resolved very easily by using the 'Add existing backup' option and selecting one of your backup files from your backup drive, this will cause the Recovery page in the main ATI GUI to be correctly shown.

I "added" the most recent backup file from the partition F: but nothing changed, see Image6.
Eryk, you need to do the same for the other missing files from the GUI, i.e. pick the latest file for each backup task such as the top E_DO_... file below.
I still don't see the backup in F:\ (see Image7)
Eryk, exactly what backup file are you not seeing here?
Are you saying that you expect to see more than the C, D & N drives per the last screen image?
If yes, then try clicking on the backup dates/times box and look at other times when your backups have been created.
It is likely that the missing drive had no changed data for the selected backup time so does not show there!
I don't see the backup in partition F:, see Image8, right panel.

Eryk, what backup task has had your partition F: included in the Source selection? It will only show if you have actually included it in the backup.
Of course. Otherwise, how the (seen in the file manager) backup could be produced?
In fact F was not given in the SOURCE selection because the sources were the C:\ and D:\ partitions.
The F: partition is the place where the backup was saved. And the backup IS there, but not seen by the Acronis display. It had to be there to make the incremental backup, seen via file manager.
However, since I cannot see under Acronis, I cannot recover it.
My suspicion: the last backup was done on the external SDD G:\ and this "covers" the previous backups done on F:\

Eryk, you seem to have a situation where you have two separate backups called CD... one is on F: and the other is on G:. I suspect ATI would have a problem trying to add the F: backup when you already have that task defined with a G: destination and the same named file. I can't really merge the two.
You might try removing the CD backup task (but DO NOT delete the files), and then try the Add Existing Backup for the one on F: as Steve has suggested.

The first was the CD backup in F: (at 18:27) , the 2nd in G: (19:39), so your hypothesis " I suspect ATI would have a problem trying to add the F: backup when you already have that task defined with a G: destination and the same named file" seems to be wrong since apparently the G succeeded.

Eryk, are you using the same backup task & file names for two different tasks stored on two different drives? If yes, then this will cause some very strange issues!
All backup tasks should have unique names.

I just did not know that this is forbidden. We may use the same filename putting the file on different partitions/drives, right? So this seemed to me natural.
If this is the cause of the problem, then the solution is easy.

Sorry, in the ATI_2019 I don't see how to give or change a name to the backup file (before starting the backup process).
In the manual I see:
To back up partitions or disks:
1. Start Acronis True Image 2019.
2. On the sidebar, click Backup.
3. Click Add backup.
4. [Optional] To rename the backup, click the arrow next to the backup name, click Rename, and
then enter a new name.
Somehow I don't see any arrow next to the backup name, or rather there is some (is this the one between 2 rectangles in the Image9?) but not active, clicking does nothing...

Eryk, in your image in the previous post, you have selected backup task TS256GSSD230S and there is a little down arrow ("V") at the right side of the selected area. You should be able to click on that arrow and you get a menu. That's where you can rename, but also as soon as you create new backap and ATI gives it a name you can simply type a new name in that area before doing anything else.
I see now that your CD backup is now pointing to F: and not G: so I assume you now have access to the file you want.
In the future, it is not a good idea to change the destination of a backup task once the first backup is made. Instead, create a new task.
See KB 62741: Acronis True Image: rotating backup destination disks requires separate backup plans per destination disk as this is effectively what you are doing by using the same task name for backups to two different backup drives.
