Restoring complete disc

Thread needs solution

I am running ATI 2020. It his been some time since I needed to restore a complete disc image. Could someone give me step by step instructions on how to do this. I started the process booting from usb but at the final screen I got a warning that the computer wouldn't boot from destination disc when complete which made the restore seem a little pointless. Martin, you are seeing the error because you are restoring your disk image using the Acronis Rescue Media when booted in a different BIOS boot mode than used by your Windows OS, i.e. Windows boots using UEFI but the rescue media is booted using Legacy mode which would result in the image being migrated from UEFI to Legacy.

See KB 59877: Acronis True Image: how to distinguish between UEFI and Legacy BIOS boot modes of Acronis Bootable Media

See forum topic here where this has been raised previously.

It appears that you have a UEFI booted system.  I would expect to see such a warning if the recovery media was booted in BIOS/MBR mode.  You can find information on this Here
