Very large incrementals
Hello, I have questions about the incrementals
Why are the incrementals so big, even when the server is not in production?
I have an example, a database server with a backup plan configured to perform backups between 08:00 am and 08 pm. During the night there are no jobs.
The next day the first incremental is very big, around 7 to 8 gigs.
Is that normal?
I realized that it doesn't just happen with databases,
What kind of content is being transferred, since there are no jobs overnight?

Thanks for the quick response,
the backup plan is for the entire machine, this machine is a database, does not have defragment tools, and no other mentioned below.
The server with only 6 hours stopped without jobs, this is with a very big incremental, and every day is the same problem.

Is there a tool for me to collect logs, and check if this is happening on the server?
Only 6 hours without incremental backups, and see the figure below. How can it be such a big backup, when the server was idle.

Hello Daniel.
The most common this KB article: reasons for creating too large backups are listed in this KB article: https://kb.acronis.com/content/2712
I also recommend that you enable Fast Incremental option https://www.acronis.com/en-us/support/documentation/AcronisBackup_12.5/index.html#36343.html
