True Image 2020 and 2016 installed?

Thread solved

Hi all - for a few years now I've had True Image 2016 and the current version (2020) showing as installed.

I've tried uninstalling and installing to sort it out but nothing seems to work. I'm assuming that this is normal? Or, at least, nothing to worry about? Thanks for any assistance. Gary

Gary, welcome to these public User Forums.

Are you able to identify where both of these versions of ATI are installed on your computer?

My understanding is that Acronis have never provided any option to install ATI to anywhere other than the default C:\Program Files (x86)\Acronis folder location, so any new install of a later version should overwrite any files present from an earlier version.

I would suggest that the best method of resolving this would be to uninstall ATI 2020 normally via the Control Panel > Programs & Features option.  Then check to see if there is still an option showing for ATI 2016, and if so, see if that can be uninstalled?  I suspect that uninstall may fail due to not finding the required uninstaller files!

Download the Acronis Cleanup Tool (link below) and run this as Administrator to cleanup any other residue of Acronis applications on your computer, then restart the computer before making any attempt to do a clean install of ATI 2020.

Note: as you are intending to reinstall ATI 2020, there should be no need to perform the steps to remove any Windows Registry entries shown in the documentation for the cleanup tool.

Note 2: the cleanup tool will remove all installed Acronis applications (ATI, Disk Director and Revive).
