Not enough space error even when the disk space availability is approx. 90%

Thread solved

I'm facing a strange issue with the Acronis backup. The backup is not happening but throwing an error like "There is not enough space on the volume where the snapshot storage is located".

I have enough space in the NAS and I'm able to copy paste files directly through the file explorer.

Can you please tell me how to resolve this issue ?

Best regards,

Danny

Danny, welcome to these public User Forums.

What version of ATI are you using here?  Is it ATI 2020 as per this forum or a different version?

"There is not enough space on the volume where the snapshot storage is located"

The message is not talking about the space available on your NAS storage device but on the source computer drives / partitions for the backup task.

ATI uses the Microsoft VSS service to capture snapshot data of the source data.  These snapshots are stored in unused space on the same drive / partition, so basically your source drive and/or partition is running out of space.

Check the amount of free space on all the partitions selected for your backup task - you should have a minimum of around 20% free space or greater available.

Download a copy of the free Acronis VSS Doctor tool to get a report on all of your partitions and their status.  The tool will offer to resolve any issues it can fix for you.

If your source disk is really to full for VSS to run you turn off VSS in the Options - Advanced of the backup task.  If your disk is this full you should get a larger capacity disk.

Yes, The C drive of the database server was facing some space issue. It is resolved. Thank you very much for both your suggestions.
