A device which does not exist was specified

Thread solved

I receive the above error, A device which does not exist was specified, only when a full vs an incremental backup is trying to run.  I've looked at the system after I receive the failure message and all drives are mounted to the system.

I may be missing something but I don't see anything in the logs that states what is missing.  In this case it failed 2 days in a row and ran the 3rd day with no changes.  Is there a way of having Acronis tell me what the device is that is missing?

Need to resolve the problem, any help is appreciated.

Thx

Gary, your logs are showing that you are having potential disk read errors which in turn lead to VSS snapshot errors being reported.

You should run CHKDSK /F for your source disk drive and would also recommend downloading the Acronis VSS Doctor tool and running this too, letting it fix any issues that are identified.

I have run both chkdsk  /r and the VSS Doctor.  The only errors recorded from either is that the disk partition with the Windows image did not have any available space.

I also don't understand why the backup only has problems occasionally
