I upgraded to Windows 10 and now backups are failing
As the topic says, I upgraded to Windows 10 and now the backups are failing despite having reconfigured both the source and the destination. Can anyone shed any light on the problem and suggest what I need to do to get them working again?

I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and ATI2018 is installed. ATI is saying "The backup cannot be started. Plug in the external drive containing the files of this backup." The drive is plugged in and mapped to the same drive letter and I have also reconfigured both the source and the destination. The log is showing "1/08/2020 9:28:02 PM: 00 12592 E000B0428: Error 0xb0428: The backup location was not found on the destination drive. Make sure the correct storage device is connected to the computer." I have reconfigured the destination so why would the log say that?

Gary, the only other option I can suggest at this point is to remove the current backup task from the ATI GUI, then use the option to 'Add existing backup' and select the most recent backup file from your external drive. You will need to reconfigure the task settings for the task after adding it back but it should solve this issue.

I have removed the existing backups and added them back as you have suggested and reconfigured them and checked them all. I will let you know what happens tomorrow when they are due to run.

Unfortunately I am still being asked to plug in the external drive containing the files of the backup.
ATI says "The backup cannot be started. Plug in the external drive containing the files of this backup." and the log says "Error 0xb0428: The backup location was not found on the destination drive. Make sure the correct storage device is connected to the computer."
I have also tried upgrading to ATI2019 which I had purchased previously to no avail.
Unfortunately I was forced to upgrade to Windows 10 due to browsers regarding Windows 7 as obsolete. It was a pain browsing anywhere and links wouldn't work. It didn't seem to matter which browser either.
Do you have any other suggestions?

Gary, the only other suggestions would be:
- Try forcing a rebuild of the Acronis database files as per KB 60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings
- Create a new backup task to the backup drive.

Because nothing worked, I finished up uninstalling with the cleanup tool and then reinstalled the latest version that I have here, ATI2019, following a reboot.
I then restored my settings from a backup and checked that everything was kosher and the backups ran faultlessly last night apart from a couple of folders that needed to be added to the exclusions.

Gary, glad that you have a solution but sorry that it took an uninstall / reinstall to get it! Thanks for the feedback.
