bootable USB disk with automatic backup of my physical disks

Thread needs solution

Hello all,
I've successfully formatted and run acronis true image home from an external USB HDD. It works like a charm and thanks Acronis for this great software. Now i want to make my backups automatic. When i plug my USB disk and select to boot from it, the backup process to start automatically without the need to use TI interface. I've searched through the forum and google-ed it, but didn't find anything. Is it possible?

Hello,

Maybe you can achieve this by having a task triggered upon a window event executing your backup through the command line. On Win 7, I noticed that under events viewer > Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > DriverFrameworks-UserMode there are events linked to PNP events. You might try this out. Plug and Unplug your device and refresh the list of events to see if you can find an event attached to it. Right click on the event to create a task associated with it. Have the task start ATI on the disk.
Worth a trial...

As far as I know, there isn't any way to automate a backup from the Linux-based version.

Yep! I misread the concept and didn't see it was about booting onto the Linux version...
