Snap Deploy PXE Loader no config file present

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I just upgraded my Acronis Snap Deploy Server to v.3470 and am unable to PXE boot from a Dell Optiplex 960

The client machine is able to pull an IP successfully and can see the Acronis server.

Starting Acronis Loader...
Downloading bootwiz.cfg...

Acronis Loader: No configuration file present.
Press to reboot>

Please advise.
Thanks

Hello Ari,

Thank you for posting. I will do my best to assist you.

There are several reasons for this issue, hardware or network problems, the PXE server has trouble sending its packets across the network.

Sometimes this issue occurs if SATA controller works in AHCI mode - please try switching SATA Mode in BIOS to IDE and try to boot again. Also, try re-uploading the bootable components to Acronis PXE server, maybe the components got corrupted.

To get to the bottom of this problem, please collect the following report and contact our Support team so that we can assist you with resolving this issue.

Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Thank you.

I know this is an old thread, but after running into the same problem and trying different options/threads with no succes we were able to get it working with the following:

Our setup was a DHCP server on one machine and Acronis Snap Deploy 4 + PXE boot on another.
The IP address for the Acronis server had to be added the router's IP Helper table in addition to the DHCP server's IP (which was already present). Our Net eng did this for me, and I was able to get Acronis to boot via PXE while residing on a different subnet from the client PCs since we were able to get it to boot with no problems while on the same subnet. Removed DHCP options 66-67 from the scope.
