--cleanup parameter not working?

Thread needs solution

Hello everyone,

I noticed that "--cleanup" parameter I have in my backup acrocmd command has no effect.

If I understand it right, it should clean all previous backups in the archive, right? Well, it's not doing that - all previous backups are staying in the archive.

Command looks like this:
acrocmd backup disk --volume=C --backuptype=full --use_vss=auto --loc="<BSP address>" --credentials="<username>","<password>" --arc="<archivename>" --cleanup

Backup is created just fine and activity is shown as successful, but no cleanup is done.

Any ideas what might be the reason why?

Thank you

Lukas

Nevermind, it seems I misunderstood how cleanup works. It's meant to cleanup space only when there's not enough space for new backup which is not really what I'm looking for.

Hello Lukas,

thank you for posting on Acronis forums!

We recommend using delete backup command for configuring a customized cleanup task.
