Hi,

I've installed the trial version of Acronis Backup & Recovery 10 on a Windows 2008 R2 64bit operating system to test the software for suitability for our organisation but keep getting the following error each time I try to run a local disk volume backup on a remote Windows XP box:

1 Error 27/01/2011 12:44:37 Feature is disabled.

Error code: 0x640012
FeatureName = "FEATURE_ATIE10_BACKUP"
Tag: 0x9418A040040A4D68
2 Error 27/01/2011 12:44:37 Failed to initialize server.
3 Error 27/01/2011 12:44:37 Operation has completed with errors.
Task 'Simple backup' has failed on machine 'svukswipc003631.manerf.com'.

The system report for the machine in question is attached.
I've searched through the forums to find a resolution for this issue but so far have been unable to locate one so any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

The issue you've faced is related to the faulty connectivity to the License Server. We do have a solution for it, it's described in this KB article. Please follow the instructions mentioned and see whether the issue remains.

Generally you will need to check and change the License Server address and/or revoke the license. You can find the detailed instruction on how to achieve it in te specified link.

Hi Yana,

I checked the license on the remote machine and it was set to a different code to the trial license, having changed the license to match the trial one the backup is now running. Thanks for the help and prompt response.
