Rescue media builder and UEFI bios boot order

Thread needs solution

I report my problem :

"I created a pc recovery with Rescue media builder on a usb stick for my laptop and then I put in the UEFI bios as  boot order first the usb stick...

Everything worked ....

Then I turned off the laptop and removed the stick usb ...

I then turned the laptop back on and Acronis started automatically again ... But I want Acronis to start only when I insert the USB stick into the laptop ... Obviously, if I put first disk C in the bios as the boot order, windows 10 starts regularly but if I put back in the bios as the boot order first the usb stick starts again Acronis even if I don't insert the usb stick in the laptop"

Thank you for your help

Reboot your computer.
Just reboot, not turned off.

Most PC's provide a Boot override option to select a temporary boot device such as a USB stick rather than needing to permanently change the boot order.

I would recommend putting your C: (Windows Boot Manager for UEFI) back as the default device, then using the Boot override menu when you need to boot from the USB rescue media.

You may also be able to select the USB drive by using the Windows 10 Settings panel - Update & Security > Recovery > Advanced start-up option to select the boot device.
