Cloned Drive - Windows Boots in Repair Mode
Hi
I bought a new SSD drive to replace my laptop HDD. The sabrent connector came with Acronis True Image. I used the clone function which seems to have completed successfully. Before changing the HDD with the new SDD i wanted to check that the SDD loads windows. The SDD is connected via a USB cable and in the boot options i instructed the computer to load from the USB device. Everytime i do that the the computer says repairing windows and ends up restarting and reverting back to the HDD to load.
I can't switch the hard drives alone so have to pay someone to do it. Before I do that i want to check if the reason the SDD isn't loading is because its connected via USB? Or will the above problem persist even if I replace the HDD with an SDD and remove teh HDD entirely - because in such a scenario i won't have a workable computer.
Thanks
