How do I Delete Files and Folders That are Backed up to the Acronis Cloud?

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I hope everyone is staying safe.

I have a folder backed up to the Cloud that has 3 sub folders in them. Let's call them Folders A B and C.

In Folder C there are 580 sub folders. How do i delete one of the sub folders in folder C along with its contents from the cloud? I select it and the only options i have is to download or create a share link.

I deleted it from the source drive from the computer. Hoping it would sync. I guess the issue is that i never enable syncing??

Thanks in advance for anyone offering to help.

Anyone??

Hi Steve,

I do not want to delete a Backup.

I am trying to remove files and folders that are in the 1 and only backup that i have created.

Folder A Is my backup.

Inside of the backup there are 3 other folders.

Lets call them folders B C and D

Inside Folder D there are hundreds of other folders. I want to delete one of them.

As stated in original post the only options i see when i access the data in the cloud are to Download or Create a link.

There is nothing to be able to delete the selected folder.

I don't want to create a new Backup. The Backup is 705 Gig. It took 9 days to upload all of it.

Thanks,

Rene

As I understand it what you want to do is to edit the backup to remove some folders. Unfortunately, or fortunately, [depending on the purpose underlying the backup] you cannot selectively edit the backup. Eventually they will be deleted as old backups are deleted in accordance with the clean-up rules you selected.

All you can do is edit the backup task to remove the folders so they will not in future be backed up. If you have sufficient cloud space you could create a new backup task that does not include the folders in question.

Isn't there a way i can sync the backup with the source Folder?

Hmmm.. Actually that would not be considered a Backup then. If i deleted a file and then realized i didn't want to do that. That data would be lost.

Yes, it is possible to create a synchronisation backup task (see User Guide Section 9). Have a look at 9.5 that deals with deleted files - the synchronisation appears to be a backup as it as is stores multiple versions of files.

I have not used this feature so cannot offer any more advice.
