Backup error

Thread needs solution

Hello,

When I try to make a backup I get and general error "a backup error".

I try setting up a new backup, change the backup scheme, reinstall the software with no luck.

The connection to NAS has established.

I can't figure out what is the problem, I'll appreciate any help.

Sorry but more information is needed to understand what the issue might be for this topic.

What exactly are you backing up here (shown as Server) in your images?

Is this actually a Server operating system, and if so, what Server OS is it?

From the Source icon for the backup, it implies that you are doing an 'Entire PC' backup that will include all disk drives in the PC, so how many disk drives are there in this PC?

If you click on the Source panel, you will see further options such as Disks & Partitions, where you can select individual disk drives instead of including multiple or all drives present.

Final comment, when you say the connection to the NAS was established, was this done within the ATI application by clicking on the Destination panel and entering any credentials needed for the NAS?

There is a new MVP Assistant log viewer tool that has now been made available by Acronis via the Community Tools page..

If you have Disks & Partitions backups created on ATI 2020 or later using .tibx files, then look in the Backup Worker logs.

If you have Files & Folders backups using .tib files (or Disk backup using same) then look in the Demon logs.

Other logs are shown by the MVP Assistant under the 'Active Logs' heading of the Log Viewer page of the Assistant.

The log files should be zipped to preserve their original file names if sharing in the forums and would need to be less than 3MB in size, otherwise you would need to share the zip file via a Cloud share service such as OneDrive, Dropbox etc.

Your screenshots indicate that no connection has been established to your destination network location.  More info is necessary to offer any meaningful suggestions as Steve has pointed out.
