True Image 11 does not display the progress screen after locking C and rebooting

Thread needs solution

I am trying to clone my hard drive in True Image 11. When I run TI, I get the selection screens which allow me to select source and receiving drive. I get all of the screens which you normally would. The confirmation screen indicates I will have to reboot.

When I say O.K. to reboot, it locks "C" and then shuts down.

Upon reboot, I get no screen that tells that it is checking the partitions and copying the drive... The screen that looks like [#######################]

I see disk activity but I don't have a clue what is happening, when it is finished etc.

How do I fix this?

I must say, I am dissapointed that there is no way to submit these types of ERRORS to acronis without a pay per indicent.

You will find that often this forum is a better and quicker source of solutions to True Image problems.

A couple of things to try:
1. Make an Image instead then restore the Image. This of course requires a place to hold the image - external drive, for instance.
2. Make the bootable Rescue CD, boot with it and try the Clone from its menu.

Hello Robert Del Cupp and DwnNDrty,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

First of all, please make sure you use the latest build, which is available here. To get access to updates you should first register Acronis software.

Also, please follow suggestions given by DwnNDrty, you should be able to fix this situation by operating from CD.

Thank you.
