Boot display problems

Thread needs solution

Good day all,

I'm having some problems using the bootable disks. When I use them (usb or cd) the display in which you can choose to backup or restore an image is unreadable. I'm using Dell optiplex 260, 270, 280, all with the same result. I tried some solutions mentioned in the forums but so far nothing. Also used this

kernel.dat initrd=ramdisk.dat vga=[VALUE] quiet

where [VALUE] is a code for screen resolution and color quality:

Screen Resolution
640x480 800x600 1024x768 1280x1024
256 0x301 0x303 0x305 0x307
32k 0x310 0x313 0x316 0x319
64k 0x311 0x314 0x317 0x31A
16M 0x312 0x315 0x318 0x31B

The best i can get is readable but the gui is too large for the screen and i have to use the scroll bars to navigate to find buttons. This is extremely unusable for me. Is there any solution or perhaps a boot parameter i can use that will let the GUI display as it is suppose to?

Any help will be deeply appreciated.

Thanks,
Maritimer

Any chance of this being looked at? or if I am posting in the wrong forum please let me know. I hate to pay for something and not have any support at all.

Hello Maritimer,

Thank you for your post. I will do my best to help you with this issue.

It occurs because the bootable media has issues detecting your graphics card properly. However, please check this article for a workaround.

If the workaround does not work, please contact our Support team with this report so that we can resolve the problem.

Let me know if you have additional questions please.

Thank you.
