Remove all Acronis Windows 10 Background Services
I use Acronis True Image 2021 only for the Clone Disk tool.
As such, I boot from a USB stick created from the Rescue Media Builder
(for Linus-based media) to do so, without any problems/issues... works fine for cloning.
I want to remove all nine Acronis Windows 10 Background Services from running on my system.
Do I need to uninstall Acronis True Image 2021 to do so ?
Will cloning from the Rescue Media Builder USB still work if I uninstall Acronis True Image 2021 ?
Many thanks

Dean, c l, welcome to these public User Forums.
Dean, you would need to uninstall ATI 2021 to fully remove all the associated background services & processes. This should not have any impact on your ability to use the rescue media for cloning.
c l, you should be able to uninstall ATI 2021 via the Windows Control Panel > Programs & Features option. If this is failing, then download a copy of the Acronis Cleanup tool from the link shown in my signature, which will use a more brute force method of uninstalling!

Hello Dean,
added your comment as a vote for the change request TI-170767 Add ability to select what services to install or permanently disable them, thank you!

Please add my vote. In the exact same situation as Dean; just want to use the cloning tool, but, to my horror, the system is now just drowning in Acronis background processes, even with protection fully turned off.
Is there a more elegant way to disable them all without having to remove the software completely? I'd like to clone in regular intervals, without having to re-install and remove the entire thing each time.
Thx.
