unable to create more than 1 backup of my system

Thread needs solution

I have used ATI for years. I just recently installed ATI 2019 (I know I am slow to use the product).

I was able to backup my C windows 10 drive to my second internal disk, D. I am planning on restoring

the system to a new hhd as I am seeing signs C might be failing. Windows 10 did a major update. so

I attempted to make newer backup of C to D. ATI 2019 will not let me choose any other disk or partition

to backup other than D! I can select my whole computer or D. I have tried to change the destination

to a different folder on D to no avail. It will not let me select C. I tried to boot my rescue disc to attempt it, but no matter what I change for fast boot windows always loads before my rescue disk loads. Yes, my optical drive is my first boot device. This is an older computer I do want to keep using. I do not see what I am doing wrong!

Mary, welcome to these public User Forums.

If you have been able to create backups of your C: drive previously using ATI 2019, then you should be able to continue doing so.

I would suggest doing a Windows Restart initially to see if this resolves this issue, doing a restart should perform a full shutdown followed by restarting, whereas if you normally just do a shutdown, you may be just putting the PC into a hybrid sleep state (akin to hibernation) if Windows Fast Start is enabled.

For booting from rescue media, then you may need to change the BIOS boot device order to make the boot device be selected ahead of your normal Windows drive, or else identify how to invoke the Boot override menu for your PC / BIOS.  This could be such as F12 (Dell) or F9/F10 for HP, ESC on some, etc.
