Restore full + incremental backups

Thread solved

Dear all,

i hope someone can help me. I created in the last couple of months for my personal files a full backup with 5 incremental versions. I still have the last 3 of them.  3 full backups with each 5 incrementals.  Now my computer harddrive broke last week and i wanted to restore the backups. Now i have the problem that i can nort use Aronis TrueImage because it doesn't show me the backup. I did not saved the backup config and i dont have a file of that.

If i double click the full incremental files it takes nearly 1 hour to navigate to a folder and them 5 hours to restore (e. .g. 100 files wilth 10 MB) . Is there another day to restore a full incremental backup with 5 incremental files.

Thx Martin

Martin, welcome to these public User Forums.

Assuming that your backup was of 'Files & Folders', then first check in the 'Other' section of the Backup task list panel to see if Acronis discovered your previous backup files when it was installed?

If it is shown there, then you can 'Reconfigure' that backup to bring it back into the main list of backups, or else you can open the Recovery panel for that backup, and recover your files from that panel.

See KB 65547: Acronis True Image 2021: how to restore files from a backup (Windows)

If the backup isn't shown in the Backup panel at all, then you need to use the 'Add existing backup' option which is found to the right of the normal '+ Add backup' option - look for the caret 'v' and click on this to show the extra option.  Navigate to where your backup is stored and pick the most recent backup file to be added.
