Backup task keeps coming back

Thread solved

In Acronis 2020, I have a backup task that I no longer need.  The backup tibx has been deleted, I've deleted it from the list of backups in the Acronis GUI, and I've tried deleting the script file from scripts folder.  The backup is gone from the list for a few minutes but then it pops back up again.  Where is this coming from and how can I get rid of it permanently?

Scott, what type of backup task is this and what was the Destination of the task?

There are several possible reasons why a deleted task may come back!

An incomplete backup to the Acronis Cloud will come back!

Issues with the internal database where ATI records all files created.

Files being discovered that have the same name as the deleted task.

To delete the .tib.tis script files requires that Acronis Active Protection is turned off else will stop such actions!

See KB 60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings - for how to force the database to be rebuilt along with other repair actions that could be tried.

Thanks, Steve.  Deleting the database folder seemed to do the trick.   It would be a nice feature in the future if Acronis included a tool to purge the database and rebuild it.
