What is it good for?

Thread needs solution

Hi,
we have upgraded our licenses to Acronis Backup & Recovery incl. deduplication and incl. virtual machines so we can backup all of our physical and virtual servers with deduplication. Since this, nothing works without errors. :-(

Now, when I try to find a solution for all the errormessages in the logs I try to send the information to Acronis to find a solution in the knowledge base. But this never gives me a solution. What is this function good for? Even searching for single errorcodes doesn't work. Is it, because we use the german versions? Are the german errorcodes not the same as in the english versions?

We have no working backup-system since two weeks. Where can I find HELPFULL information for the errormessages?

It's not a silver bullet - if error codes don't lead you to some KB article, it mean that the reason of the error is not widespread. Error codes are supposed to be the same for all languages. If you have valid support contract, contact support or post the stuff here. (You seem to have, because 1 year of AAP is apparently included with upgrade versions too)

Thanks for the info dev-anon. I will try to call the support. But in the past, it was not very (helpfull) funny...
