Problem creating restore point on Windows 7

Thread needs solution

Hi, I have ATI Home 10; Win 7 32 bit.

For the last several weeks I'm unable to create a system restore point on my Windows machine.
There seems to be a problem with the Volume Shadow Copy service and its dlls.
Try as I might, I can't seem to correct it, and on one of the threads elsewhere there was a suggestion that Acronis True Image may have changed something.
Anybody else with the same problem, or even better, a solution?
Any/all ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Abe

Hi there, Win 7 is not supported by ATI v10. If you mean ATI 2010, that is another story.

I looked around and didn't find stuff linking ATI 2010 to creating system restore issues... What posts do you reference?

Did you try to reset your restore repository?

Start the computer in basic Safe Mode.
Open a command prompt as administrator.
Enter "net stop winmgmt".
Enter "rename C:\Windows\System32\wbem\Repository c:\Windows\System32\wbem\RepositoryOld"
Reboot
Open a command prompt as administrator.
Enter "net stop winmgmt".
Enter "winmgmt /resetRepository"
