TI 2021 and Windows 10 "core isolation"
I am attempting to turn on the Windows 10 Device Security feature "Core Isolation". The TI component tib.sys is preventing that.
Is there a fix?
If not, can it be disabled?

I don't use T&D. How do I avoid having it prevent turning on Core Isolation?
I could uninstall True Image, but that's not my preferred solution.

Robert, if you have checked and Try&Decide is turned off then you would need to open a support case direct with Acronis to have them confirm if there are any other reasons why ATI 2021 would conflict with Windows 10 Core Isolation?
You can confirm the status of Try&Decide by launching the feature where this is shown at the top of the panel.

Sorry, I don't follow.
Is there any way to turn off "Try and Decide"? Or does it simply not install properly if the core isolation feature of Windows 10 is active?

Robert, Try&Decide has to be turned on by the user, it is not activated by default!
Open the ATI GUI and the Tools panel, then click on Try&Decide which will open a new panel showing the status as per the images below:

Thanks, but that is beside the point.
Windows refuses to allow core isolation to be turned on if the file tib.sys is detected as present. "Try and Decide" does not need to be active.
I take that there is no official fix for the issue.

Thanks. I may do that.
I'm not optimistic, though, because Web searching indicates that the issue has been around through several revisions of TI, going back a couple of years at least.

The Acronis website now says that Acronis will not update tib.sys until a Windows 11 full version releases at the end of this year. They will make no attempt to support either dev or beta versions of Windows 11. In other words, your only choices with either Windows 10 or 11 is to either uninstall Acronis or forget both core isolation and Windows 11.
As was already pointed out, this issue has been going on for a couple of years. If it were not for Windows 11 releasing soon, I doubt that they would even be making an effort to update their file to meet standards. It is a terrible attitude on their part.

Okay -so Windows 11 is out and it still doesn't work. My subscription is due in 18 days. Personally I think it is pretty poor to still have no fix for this and the OS is now generally available. You need to fix this quick Acronis - or you lose me as a customer. I would guess you would probably lose quite a few others too. Considering that this is a major security element in the latest OS - to have Acronis software as the one thing that prevents extra security in Windows 11 is not a great position to be in.

The latest 'Windows 11' version of 'Acronis Cyber Protect Home Office' is out. And... it still doesn't work. tib.sys is still the issue.

Ernesto & Sam, have you raised this issue directly with Acronis Support or submitted Feedback direct to them about it? If not, then please do so in order that they understand the strength of feeling involved over this issue, especially as they are positioning the latest ACPHO as a premium cyber security application!
These are essentially user forums, including all the MVP's are users, with minimal direct involvement by Acronis other than by the forum moderator (Ekaterina).

Which claims "Acronis True Image 2021 and the earlier versions are not going to have official support of Windows 11, even though we have not heard of any significant compatibility issue".

You can still buy perpetual licenses of True Image 2021 on Newegg, and there is no mention of incompatibility with the current OS, much less that Acronis is never going to fix it.
One would expect more from a "perpetual license" than for it to be obsolete the day you buy it.
