Peter, the first question for this topic has to be: do you really need the Universal Restore media? My reason for asking is that AUR was needed much more for older versions of Windows such as Win 7 or earlier.  Windows 10 has much improved handling for changes in hardware such that AUR is not needed in many scenarios unless there are such differences in hardware that Windows cannot resolve them without using AUR to inject required device drivers!

If you have only just installed / upgraded to ATI 2021 then I would suggest giving it some time to 'settle down' especially if you have enabled some of the new protection services, then try again at a later time.

Note: I haven't ever needed to use AUR except when testing with a VMware VM and haven't bothered to create separate media for it.  Instead, I use the MVP Custom PE Builder tool which will automatically include both ATI and AUR if both are detected as installed when creating media, after which it is a simple matter of launching which one is needed from the WinPE desktop environment.

Thank you Steve that has solved it for me, I shall no longer bother with Universal Restore, saved me a lot of brain wracking
