ATI 2011 Problems accessing network share
Hello,
I recently installed ATI 2011 on several computers im my network. But when trying to create a backup job that stores the data on a network drive this job cannot be created. I have Windows 7 on all machines. All machines have the same username and password and the shares are configured well - they are all accessible within all applications installed except for ATI 2011. I have installed the last build 6696. When browsing the path for the backup files ATI hangs every time I access the share on another computer. The share is shown but when clicking on it ATI does not respond for some seconds and then wants user credentials from me. But after typing the correct credentials I get connection failed. From this point of time the other computer is no longer accessible from this pc. I cannot browse any share and a ping to this computer is always timed out. From other computers the shares are ok. After some minutes I can access the shares from the other computer again until I browse this shares from ATI - then the problem starts again and again.
Something happens when I browse network shares from within ATI so that I cannot access the browsed network computer for several minutes. It seems that the computer is gone. After a while the problem is away until I browse this computer from within ATI again. I tried several solutions like increasing IRPStackSize on all computers or deinstalling antivir and firewalls but I always get this problem. With ATI 2010 I never experienced such problems.
When there is no solution for this problem - is there a chance to convert my licenses from ATI 2011 to ATI 2010? Otherwise this program is useless for me.
Thanks

I'm having the same problem as Stephan (I'm also using ATI 2011 PP 6696). I always get a "connection failed" trying to access my coworker's computer. I'm already doing what Pat L. suggested, but never got past the authentication settings. Any help would be appreciated!!

I don't want to get anyones hopes up (including mine), but I may have gotten it to work. This really isn't a fix, more of a workaround. I had same username passwords setup on both machines and that kept failing for some reason. I tried the connection using a different username that existed on the remote destination machine and it worked. Seems like TIH 2011 doesn't like same usernames across different machines.

Pat L wrote:Did you try the following:
- browse for destination,
- using the left navigation panel, unfold the network,
- click on the computer name hosting the share
- enter credentials at this point (blue link above the right panel)
- the shares should appear under the computer now in the left panel
Yes I tried this and some other ways to browse to the desired destination - without success. Everytime I loose the ability to access the network share for minutes until the shares work again in windows explorer.

This sounds interesting but it will not be an option for me since I have connected network drives to the same machine where the backup files should be stored. And you can't connect to one machine with two different credentials even if there are different shares. But I will try this once and post my experiences here.

Did you have any luck? I have teh same issue. I have two NAS', both of which I can access through Win7 with no issue but TrueImage 2011 will not access them using the exact same credentials.
