Cannot restore selected files from a Network shared/mapped drive backup

Thread needs solution

I am running TI (build 6597) on Vista Business Edition.

I have created a backup of a network drive, the backup.tib file is stored on my local C: drive and is approx 1.2GB.

Recovering to a new location on my local C: drive:-
If I select all files to be recovered, the "Selected to recover" label shows the number of files, folders and size of the recovery. Recovery works fine.

If I select just a sub folder, or even just a single file to be recovered, the "Selected to recover" label shows "Calculation failed". Pressing the Recover button, TI appears to go through the motions of a recovery (No errors are displayed) but the file(s) are not actually recovered.

I have tried creating the backup using the network share name and also using a mapped drive. Both give the same results.

See my attached screen shots.

It's not just you, see http://forum.acronis.com/forum/17190
Apparently you still can restore then if you clickety-click on archive in windows explorer, browse down and then copy-paste the files you need from archive to conventional folder.

dev-anon - are you suggesting that we recover the entire mother folder and then selectively copy/move the files we need from there? what if my backups are extremely large? do you have any workaround for that? thanks.

@ttsroll - no. Clicking on archive in windows exporer will allow you to navigate down the folder structure in it and then use 'copy' and 'paste' ( in context menu or keyboard shortcuts) to copy files from it to a regular folder.
