Thread needs solution

I get the following error when I want to clone a 1Tb mechanical HDD disk (which they only have busy 40Gb) to another 250Gb M.2 SSD: "One or more of your removable disks may not be started yet. Click "Yes" to wait for the devices to boot completely (recommended). Click "NO" to ignore uninitialized devices and continue. Click "Cancel" to stop the current operation. Do you want to wait for the devices to boot?" and you can't clone the disks whatever you put if, don't cancel it's still doesn't work the program Will anyone know how to solve this problem?

More information is needed for the user community to be able to assist you.

First, are you attempting the clone from within Windows, or are you using the Acronis Recovery Media (if so, what type of recovery media are you using - see user guide 11.1.1). I suspect you are using the Recovery Media but I could be mistaken.

Second, what operating system are you using, (for example Windows 10 Home x64, Version 20H2, Build 19042.685)?

Third, what type of SSD are you using as the target? Is it an a USB SSD such as a WD Elements, an SATA SSD in a USB docking station? (I suspect that the SSD is in a docking station).

Fourth, does the HDD being clone contain the computer's operating system?

Fifth, are you using the latest build of ATI 2020 - build 35860.

Tengo el mismo problema. Parece ser que al reiniciar el equipo para iniciar la clonacion, no reconoce el disco nvme PCIe.

I have the same problem. It seems that when restarting the computer to start the cloning, it does not recognize the nvme PCIe disk.

This type of clone should always be performed using the Acronis bootable rescue media created by the tool provided in the ATI with the 'Simple' method, then booting from that media in UEFI BIOS boot mode.

The 'Simple' method creates Windows PE media which has support for your NVMe SSD taken from the Windows Recovery Environment.

If you start cloning from the ATI GUI in Windows, then a small Linux kernel environment is used which lacks the support for NVMe drives.

See KB 65508: Acronis True Image 2021: how to create bootable media and KB 59877: Acronis True Image: how to distinguish between UEFI and Legacy BIOS boot modes of Acronis Bootable Media

Also see KB 56634: Acronis True Image: how to clone a disk - and review the step by step guide given there.

Note: the first section of the above KB document directs laptop users to KB 2931: How to clone a laptop hard drive - and has the following paragraph:

It is recommended to put the new drive in the laptop first, and connect the old drive via USB. Otherwise you will may not be able to boot from the new cloned drive, as Acronis True Image will apply a bootability fix to the new disk and adjust the boot settings of the target drive to boot from USB. If the new disk is inside the laptop, the boot settings will be automatically adjusted to boot from internal disk. As such, hard disk bays cannot be used for target disks. For example, if you have a target hard disk (i.e. the new disk to which you clone, and from which you intend to boot the machine) in a bay, and not physically inside the laptop, the target hard disk will be unbootable after the cloning.
