Application brutally slow.

Thread needs solution

I originally installed ATI 2021 on my new windows machine about 3 months ago. It seemed to work as expected for about two month. Then, about three weeks ago, the backup of my entire data drive (F:\) started failing with the “jenkins_agent” error.

i logged a service ticket but got no response.

I looked around on the forum and saw a suggestion to create a new backup of the same drive and run that. The new backup seemed to work.

But the other issue I was having is still present. The application takes a LONG time to start, and the s runs so slowly as to be unusable. On every mouse click, the whole Acronis window goes black, then comes back with “Not Responding” in the top ribbon. It can take as much as two minutes to complete a simple operation like switching to a new backup. I need to add email settings to my new backup - but that could take forever with this kind of performance,

I have Windows 10 Pro running on a 10850 processor with 64 GB Ram and an Nvidia 3070 display card. I ran DSKCHK on the data drive and there were no errors, and, as I said, the new backup of that drive seemed to work last night. And again, everything was working fine on this machine until 3 weeks ago  when the backup started failing.

My first suggestion here is to try doing a Repair Install of ATI - see KB 60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings - for details.  Note: ensure you are using the latest / final build 39216 version of ATI for the repair.

One reason why ATI can take longer to open is if you have backups going to remote locations such as a NAS where it tries to contact that destination during the launch process.
